What the Lakers Should Do

The Los Angeles Lakers have the opportunity to sign two superstars during the offseason but I don’t know if that’s in their best interest. The team has an extremely young roster who have proven that they belong in the league on multiple occasions. To me signing a guy like Julius Randle back to the team would be more beneficial than breaking up a roster that have just begun to have real chemistry. Yes, it would be great to sign two top tier talents such as a LeBron and Paul George but I am really intrigued as to what this young roster has to offer in this league. The Lakers shouldn’t stunt the growth of a Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram because of the signings of a superstar, they should be able to grow and learn from playing the game themselves. After all, the organization has spent top picks on some of these players and to me I don’t believe that they have shown that they are busts so why not keep them?

Win or Go Home

Well ladies and gentlemen tonight is the night. Tonight we’ll know the fate of the Penguins in their series against the Capitals. Will they force a game 7 or will they get knocked out by the team they’ve always been victorious over? I believe that the Pens will lose this matchup and get bounced out of round 2 as I feel that the Caps have outperformed in almost every game. I’ve said this before and I’ll restate it right here again, it is extremely hard to 3-peat in any league and I don’t think that the Pens can do it this time. They have had two short offseasons because they have been Stanley Cup Champs and I honestly believe that they will be gassed during this game. In the end it’s up for the two teams to decide who wants it more.

Toronto Folds...............AGAIN

Lets be real here for just a moment, the Toronto Raptors need to part ways with Demar Derozan or Kyle Lowry. While they both are really good during the regular season, they are no shows when it comes to the playoffs. When you're paying guys millions of dollars to consistently get bounced out of the second round of the playoffs then you have to look at your team and start finding out what is wrong. Any fan of the NBA Playoffs will tell you that the two "stars" of the Raptors are the problem. They put up great numbers when it's the regular season and position themselves as a top 3 team in the Eastern conference but they don't produce the same when the big lights are on. In the current series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Raptors have found themselves in a 3-0 hole that they will most likely not get out of. Granted, LeBron James has made two great shots to end games but if the stars of the Raptors were truly great then they could put away the LeBron James Cavaliers. Lets be honest, it's really just LeBron producing for the team, and yes I do realize that Kevin Love has stepped up in a big way but it's mainly LBJ producing for the team. If the Raptors want any chance of restoring their name in the playoffs they should consider trading one of the two pieces that they already have and get someone who won't crumble when the big lights are on.

Can Someone Help Us Find Ben Simmons?

I think it's time for us to slow down on "The Process" for just a moment. I have seen some bad breakdowns in terms of the NBA but this was by far one of the worst. Philadelphia was up by 22 points against the Boston Celtics and still couldn't pull it off. You can blame bad coaching but I feel that some of the blame should fall on the players, more specifically, Ben Simmons. Simmons is probably your ROTY favorite and for him to only have one point is unacceptable. He is the point guard of this team and when your team is suffering it's up to you to get them back on course. He completely vanished from the game last night and I surely hope that this was just a one game thing because I have high expectations for him. If the 76ers want any chance of winning this series and advancing into the playoffs Ben Simmons is going to have to step up to the plate and help guide his team to victory.

Must Win Game For Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins host the Washington Capitals  tonight in what I feel is a must win game if the  Pens want to win yet another championship. Personally, in my own NHL Playoff Bracket, I have the Washington Capitals winning this series. To me I feel like the Caps have had enough being the little brother who always loses to the older brother. Nonetheless, I would still like to see a great series between the two teams and in order for that to happen the Pens have to win. In order to secure a win would be for the defense to step up a little more than it has of late. The Pens also have to stop giving the puck away so easily causing odd man breakaways that eventually lead to goals. Tonight will be a make or break game for this series if the defending champs want any chance at advancing to another round in this years playoffs.
